Granville Jr. Sr. High School is truly where "Golden Opportunities" begin. The talented faculty and staff have been a great resource to me throughout my first year at Granville. With 2020-2021 beginning our second year together, I have no doubt that this incredible team of talented educators and compassionate support staff are well prepared to meet the challenges ahead.
This building boasts a strong academic program and incredible choices for students inside and outside the classroom. We offer a full range of CTE (including Business and Agriculture) and STEM courses as well as AP (Advanced Placement), SUPA (Syracuse University) and PLTW (Project Lead the Way) courses. We also offer a full slate of distance learning courses. Students participate in robotics competitions and National History Day competitions at the regional and state level.  We are also proud of our athletic program and the multiple clubs and extracurricular (club) opportunities we have for students.

According to US News and World Report for 2019, we placed #5 in the Glens Falls, NY metro area category for best high schools. This is out of 18 that were counted in the same category!

In 2019-2020, we moved to becoming a 1:1 Chromebook school. Last year, our grade 11 English students will had the incredible chance to see Hamilton on Broadway in NYC this school year. Two of our teachers, Mr. Cory Burton, and Mrs. Marie Grimmke, completed the arduous application process to the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History for our district.

We have a schoolwide PBIS program in place. The Positive Behavior Intervention System ( PBIS)  recognizes students making the effort to display positive behavior in a variety of settings and circumstances. This is entirely teacher-led and a credit to the group that coordinates the incentives and special assemblies throughout the year.

Parents/Guardians may keep up with their child’s progress by using our Parent Portal. Our student management system, Eschooldata, eSD has many features for our district to utilize including the parent portal.   Each parent/guardian has their own login. Once logged in, parents and guardians will be able to see all of their students and their student’s grades, attendance, progress reports, report cards, schedules, discipline reports, transcripts, technology fees, and much more.  Parents will also be able to send messages on the portal, change their passwords, change their contact information, and more. Please be sure to log on to see what this is all about. If a concern should arise about your child’s performance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to either of our school counselors, Mrs. Rueckert and Mrs. Mittleman.
