After-School Cricket Club

GES Teacher, Mr. Rochlani, or “Mr. R” to the kids, is starting a Cricket Club. Cricket is a fast-growing, global bat-and-ball sport and is now even part of the Olympics.

Mr. Rochlani is a Certified USA Cricket Coach, recognized by the Cricket Council (ICC).

In this after-school program, students will learn cricket skills like batting, bowling and fielding, as well as teamwork, sportsmanship and cricket culture.

The first five monthly sessions (in the GES Library) will also explore the history, geography and culture of cricket, and show students how to play the game at home or anywhere using basic materials.

The final eight weekly sessions (outdoors in the recess yard or cafeteria, depending on the weather) will focus on playing games, practicing skills, and experiencing the fun of cricket firsthand.
