Dear JH/SH Granville Parents and Families,
It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the Interim Principal of the Granville Junior/Senior High School. I bring to this position many years of experience including serving numerous interim positions as both Superintendent of Schools and Building Principal in area school districts. Previously, I had the pleasure of serving the Granville community as the Interim Superintendent of Schools back in 2017, and I look forward to working in the Junior/Senior High School. I am well aware of the rigorous and diverse curriculum that strives to meet the needs of all students. Additionally, I look forward to working with the entire staff to foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages students to explore their passions, engage in extracurricular activities, and develop essential life skills.
I began my tenure earlier this month when I had the opportunity to spend some time with Beecher Baker getting reacquainted with the Junior/Senior High School. Mr. Baker provided me with a very organized, comprehensive overview of the building which enabled a seamless transition.
As soon as I began, I met with every class to introduce myself to students and begin the process of getting to know them. I was immediately impressed by their impressions of the school, their enthusiasm about their learning experiences, and their pride in being Granville students.
During the coming weeks I look forward to visiting classrooms frequently, working together with teachers to support learning opportunities for students and getting to know students and parents.
