Heart Health Heros with Mr. Boucher at Granville Elementary, NY

January marks the beginning of the Kids Heart Challenge at Granville Elementary (GES)!

Students in grades 3 through 6 are learning how to take care of their hearts through fun activities in Physical Education classes with Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Casey Boucher.

Throughout the month, Mr. Boucher is leading exciting wellness challenges in his classes, offering heart health tips, teaching new moves, and handing out door prizes.

P.E. students will also have the chance to learn hands-on CPR, watch short videos from NFL player Damar Hamlin about healthy living, and take part in heart-healthy activities with their families and become "Heart Health Heros".

Those who participate can even earn volunteer hours and receive thank-you gifts!

The goal is to inspire kids, staff, and families to make healthier choices for their physical and mental well-being, one simple step at a time.

The new year is the perfect time to focus on staying active, getting enough rest, being kind, and asking for help when needed.

Thank you to Mr. Boucher for going above and beyond and bringing fresh ideas to Granville Elementary!
