On January 16, 2025, the Granville High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) held its formal Induction Ceremony in the High School Auditorium.
This prestigious event welcomed nine exceptional students from Granville Jr./Sr. High School into the nation’s oldest, largest, and most esteemed student recognition program.
Founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Honor Society continues to uphold the pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
The Granville Chapter has been inducting outstanding students since its establishment on May 16, 1963.
To qualify for membership, students must be juniors or seniors with a cumulative academic average of 89.5% or higher.
In addition to academic excellence, members are selected based on their exemplary service, leadership, and character, as evaluated by a faculty council comprising five members appointed by the principal.
The nine new members join a legacy of excellence and service, strengthening the chapter’s longstanding tradition.
The Granville Chapter remains committed to fostering the development of future leaders who exemplify the values of the National Honor Society.
This event not only celebrates the accomplishments of these students but also highlights their potential to make meaningful contributions to their school and community.
