Granville, Wells and Mettawee School 6th Grade Parents and Guardians,
You are invited to the Jr/Sr High Auditorium on Wednesday, March 5th from 6pm - 7pm for a 6th Grade Family Night.
This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the free opportunities that are available in and out of the 7th grade classroom.
You'll meet our Junior High school counselor, the new Principal, learn more about the 7th grade transition and get a tour of the building as well.
Come alone or bring your student!
No childcare? Bring the kids.
Light refreshments will be served .
Why is this event important?
7th grade is an excellent time to start talking with your student about how they will use their time at Granville Jr/Sr High.
- >Do they want to land and keep a great paying job - right out of high school? We have programs for that.
->Do they want to go to college - for free? We have programs for that.
->Do they like art, theatre, sports, music or something else? We have clubs for every kind of learner.
->Do they like animal science, building things, or video game design? We have courses and career paths for that and more.
->Vermonter? Did you know your student can receive SUNY in-state tuition to over 20 colleges, vocational schools and universities as a graduate of Granville Jr/Sr High?
Taking advantage of the free opportunities available in 7th grade helps your student get ready to start building a bright future for themselves and their family.
This tends to turn the "have to go to school dread" into "want to go to school".
It all starts in 7th grade!
