By Jennifer Powell, Granville Jr/Sr High School Social Worker and Operation Santa Claus Organizer
Operation Santa Claus (OSC) distribution begins today, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and sincere appreciation to everyone that helped support OSC.
This year Granville CSD is assisting 61 families, totalling 160 children through Operation Santa Claus---our largest year to date!
Additionally, with the support of the National Honor Society, we raised $719.32 through our annual Coins for Christmas Fundraiser--again a record number. Those funds will be donated to OSC.

Believe it or not, preparations for the program begin shortly after arriving back to school from summer break.
It takes a village of various elves to make this a successful program. Please extend a sincere thank you to the individuals and organizations below.
Their contributions no matter how big or small played an integral role in this year's programming.
I could not accomplish this without each and everyone of them.

A picture of some of the student shoppers for Operation Santa Claus. Student had smiles all around when they delivered their packages at the district offices. Thank you to GCSD Transportation and GCSD Board of Education for authorizing the field trip. And for the District Office staff for sharing their offices.

Student Shopper, Peighton Wilson shares her shopping cart with another student shopper for OSC items.
