If you're looking for the annual School Supply List, here it is.
In the early fall of 2025, a generous community member reached out to donate school supplies to the elementary schools.
After celebrating this amazing community support, the District took a closer look at how the school handles classroom supplies and found ways to make things even better for our teachers and families.
Here are several upgrades to the school supply process that the District has made:
1) Easier Ordering: Teachers now use a more streamlined and user-friendly ordering system with Amazon shopping.
2) District-Funded Basics: The District is piloting a new system to stock school supplies in each school building. Teachers can get what they need at the beginning of the school year and restock as needed without spending their classroom budgets.
3) Shorter Shopping Lists for Families: The District removed sanitizing wipes and tissues from elementary family school supply lists and will provide these for classrooms by redistributing existing school resources.
4) No More Summer Waiting: School supply lists are on the school website and will be updated before the end of the school year, so families can plan ahead.
5) Smart Supply Swaps: The District surveyed Granville Elementary School (GES) teachers and learned that student planners were rarely used in nearly all grades. The District replaced them with the popular and sturdy, yellow take-home folders used at MJT, saving the school money and keeping families organized.
The District is committed to continually improving this process so families have less to buy and teachers can focus their classroom budgets on special projects and creative learning tools.
