Dear Granville Students, Families, Faculty, and Staff,
Welcome back to another school year in the Granville Central School District!
As I begin my second year as your Superintendent, I am filled with a tremendous sense of pride and excitement about where our district is headed. The past year brought significant progress, and as we begin this new school year, we have an incredible opportunity to build upon the momentum.
Perhaps nothing represents our progress more visibly than the massive capital project that has been underway throughout our district. Over the past year, our schools have been transformed through improvements that will impact our students and staff for many years to come. From major infrastructure upgrades and improved safety and security measures, to renovated classrooms, updated bathrooms, electrical improvements, fire alarm work, flooring, ceilings, and updates to the overall appearance of our buildings, we are investing in the places where our students learn every day.
These renovations are about much more than new floors, ceilings, paint, or updated infrastructure. They are about creating schools that our students deserve and providing our staff with environments that support teaching and learning. We are addressing long-standing needs while also preparing our facilities to serve Granville students well into the future.
Over the past year, we have continued to strengthen our academic programs, expand opportunities for students, improve communication and collaboration, enhance student support services, and invest in the people who make our district successful. We have worked hard to identify areas where we can improve and, just as importantly, areas where we can celebrate what Granville already does exceptionally well. I am reminded that progress does not happen all at once. It happens one classroom, one student, one conversation, and one improvement at a time. We have made significant progress, but there is still much work ahead.
Our focus will continue to be on doing what is best for students, strengthening our schools, supporting our staff, and building a district that our entire community can be proud of. There is a lot to be excited about in Granville. The physical transformation of our schools is visible, but the transformation taking place within our classrooms, programs, and culture is just as important.
As we turn the page on another school year, I encourage all of us to embrace the opportunities ahead. Let's continue moving forward together, building on our successes, addressing our challenges, and creating an even stronger future for every Granville student.
