New York Ag Literacy Week is a program through New York Agriculture in the Classroom. FFA Members help promote literacy in the field of agriculture through reading a state chosen book and completing an activity in elementary classrooms across the state. This year's book was "I Love Strawberries" by Shannon Anderson. Granville FFA had 20 student volunteers who read to a record 487 students over the 2 days at GES and MJT. This opportunity helps the FFA members through honing their public speaking skills, on top of bringing accurate and up to date agricultural knowledge to the younger students.
